Hugs & Detox

The most unlikely combination of detox and hugs for a title, but that’s what this blogs all about actually detox and hugs. Found a simple detox & healing recipe in my recipe figured I would try it out. I just realized today was cooking day talk about de stressors. Cooking, baking and cleaning are great destressors I think. Its like when you clean you’re in a world of your own being domesticated isn’t so bad now is it .. especially when you see the fruits of your labor anyways, today that was what today was all about and yes I am actually sleepy and its only nearly midnight, an early night for me today a nice change really, who knows maybe I might even get into the habit of going to bed early than what I think is early for me anyways ..

So another weekend comes to an end .. school starts tomorrow third week into the new year wow talk about time flying. I am sitting here enjoying a nice cup of home made herbal drink for detoxing, reading and just pretty much unwinding. I guess I still multi task when it comes to relaxing.. Next week will be a pretty busy week for us at school, preparing for the Chinese New Year Celebrations, Valentines Day soon after and then of course we have our first term evaluations for the kids and the teachers alike. I do believe management wants us to be up to standards every year, though this does not determine promotions or pay raises, it still is recorded. And all this will be happening just before the first term school holidays in March which is still ways away but time to fly when you’re having ‘fun’ *grin*..

And so back to the detox drink it’s a simple and I have to admit really delicious drink. When I was cooking it, and saw the color and the strong smell of turmeric I panicked and it brought me back to the day when I had to drink just the turmeric juice mixed with galangals trust me not delicious but its suppose to be good for you so anyways this one proved me wrong familiar smells were not valid because when maple syrup and lemon juice was added it tasted great and what do you know its good for you too and rest assured it makes you sleepy or maybe I am just tired who knows haha. Anyways here is the recipe for those are keen on trying .. Its fast its simple and you can get all the ingredients from your own kitchen ..

Ginger Healing Detox Tea with Turmeric

2 cups water

½ tsp powdered ginger

½ tsp powdered turmeric

1 tbsp maple syrup

Juice of ½ lemon

Directions:

2. Simmer for about 10 mins.

3. Strain

4. Add maple syrup and lemon.

5. Drink warm.

Simple enough right? Delicious and good for you. When you drink it think of it as an adventure something exotic :..

The hugs part of this blog entry is something I was reading from gagirl.com. She has a page on hugs and the many different quotes and explanations of what a hug does. I agree with her seeing that its hugs galore everyday at school. It just makes your day and it’s always nice to share these hugs with people who matter even though they can feel it physically the spiritual sense of it is felt. *smile*. Hugs makes you smile, makes you feel safe, makes you feel warm what can I say it’s a feel good feeling all over. The feeling of a hug is one and touch is another, the warmth of another human being, the care of comfort they offer it does wonders to the soul ..

SO hug someone today it will make their day and yours.

Just before I end this blog entry here is a little quote from that page the last quote from the lot

A Hug Is Two Hearts Wrapped In Arms

~Unknown

On that note I am off for the night .. Good night world have a great week ahead .

Hugs
