monday musings ...

I have to admit today all in all was a great day. I think what I have learnt is that if you set your mind to, it does manifest itself. The working power of the mind is truly amazing. Last week wasn’t the best of weeks but it was ok – maybe I was expecting out of the week but anyways that was what it was last week. But seriously I shouldn’t be complaining at least I don’t risk being blown up or have curfews imposed on me where I am. We can say our week wasn’t the best but when we really look at it others in places that’s being plagued by war & occupation I think they are grateful that they can make it through the day safe….. anyways …

So come this week I told myself start the week in a positive note and believe that it will be a good week ahead with minor glitches and I usually Monday is fretted upon by some but I find it positive and up lifting – maybe its how you brush things off or how you handle encounters for the day so anyways …

I came home to a little tea party held by mom and her cousins. I thought it was cute – all these mature ladies sitting around a table drinking coffee and having what I call local tea time favorites like banana fritters, a kind of salad called rojak with accompanies the fritters, and then there were those brownies (LOW FAT) from yesterday, lets see what else .. umm some jelly with fruits in a bowl, and mashed banana fritters or jemput-jemput. It was a table full of delights so I decided to join in by having an early dinner of leftover soto from yesterday another all time favorite. While enjoying my piping hot bowl of soto, I realized they were busy talking about peoples children, how evil some parents were so I raised an eye brow and out of curiosity asked them whose kids are you talking about? And guess what??? They were in fact talking about the television drama hahahah .. I just laughed at them. I said to them wow, it was if you were talking about people we knew.

They amuse me to no end, watching them talk about these dramas it was as if they were talking like its happening in their own lives or to the people they know. My mom and her cousins are fond of Indonesian dramas which they follow religiously obviously. I actually subscribed to an all Malay movie & drama channel for mom .. Keeps her happy makes her happy and in some weird stimulates her mind which she needs at her age. The thing is when they meet up out side like say to go shopping they would be discussing some of these shows. They have the schedule of the shows they enjoy and I have an aunt who would actually hurry back just to catch her favorite show. What is with these women and their drama? *grin* But hey if they are happy than its all fine with me ..

Did you know today is national hug day? Cool huh. I actually received that in my email box and figured it was pretty interesting. So with the magic of copy and paste the little write up is right here …

So anyways that was it my day delightful in so many ways starting with hugs in the morning and smiles to end the day .. But before I do here is something my friend Julia sent me today .. Its one of those you have to send it back to certain number of people in return for something wonderful in your life. Ok I am not much of a believer in this but there is are things that I have wanted for a long time to happen to happen lol good things of course .. a girl can hope so anyways I decided to paste what she sent me all of it .. and yes I did send it to 4 people ;)) .. and I hope they send it back to me for this to work … (just having a little fun here…)

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you can't get them back. So I'm gonna tie you to my heart so I never lose you.
