traditions & what nots ..

Its Friday i woke up a while ago at 940 this morning ...didnt do much rested for the most part .. i spend a lot of my time reading which is a good thing and trying to get myself together - ive been a tad down though no one knows about it - i just believe its good to show the happy side of you even though when you're dying inside .. and this morning i think i just hit rock bottom cos i just broke down and cried - i guess ive kept everything in bottled in for so long and now its out in the open well anyways ..

The meds that the doctors gave me really knocked me out - ive been sleeping like a baby the
past two nights. The pain seem to be alleviating but not completely - i have been out of school the past three days grrrrrrr.. The doctors makes sure i really rest the knee - i could would have gone against his orders if he hadnt had scared me and said if you want both knees to buckle - go ahead and work grrr doctors suck :P ... but a colleague from work brought some work stuff so i am not really missing out on work just my little angels in school ...

My mom and i was in the kitchen deep in conversations talking about rice ( tradtionally Asian has many pratcices & believes that have since been brought to the future )... and she was relating a story about eldery people of her time who believe that there must always be rice in the house - my mom says they think far - which i think is a good trait well anyways ... she was saying that rice is rezeki like which is something livelihood which symbolisses wealth and not having it in the house at all times is not a good thing. We have a little plastic bucket where we keep our rice and my mom says that it always has to be have rice in them so the flow of wealth is no cutt off ... anyways back to the story .. my mom said to me that in the olden times having rice in the house means feeding guests who arrive late into the night and when there is nothing else to eat there is always rice - its long term thinking - so i cracked a joke with her - i told her well mom these days when someone arrives at your day at 1am and theres nothing to eat there is always the 24 hours McDonalds lol well i got a raised eye brow for that but i know where she is coming from - i love the older generation - they have such wealth of knowledge that may seem weird to this generation but if given much thought - it makes sense ...
