what limitations?
Inspirations comes in many ways sometimes when you feel you’re in a dark place something like an inspirational story, moment or person who comes along and you feel yourself lifted out. It takes us out and we find ourselves in a more positive mood and it also gives us a sense of renewed hope & motivation. Writings & experiences of people from the past serves as learning tools for us in the present.
I could relate to this story in more ways than one and it sheds a lot of light on the on goings in my life in recent days and months. I can relate to Helen Keller when she said about how limitations never makes her sad but only sometimes and I know my limitations which in recent days have made me feel down because I want to be better and do better. “C” mentioned that there are others who have it worst and he is right – ironically that’s how I look at life a lot of the times. When it keeps throwing punches at me – I think this problem isn’t so bad – others have it worst. I preach to the little ones maybe its time this teacher remembers her lessons even though there are days that it’s hard to accept that but I am glad I can still see things that way because of the little blessings all around.
When we are trying to do good or be a better person, we sometimes need to be validated but I think the best validation we can get is from ourselves because we know it in our hearts that we are trying to do good and believe that people have faith in us and see that too.
Anyways this story came about at the just the right time … and who knows what it may offer others who feel their talents or options are limited or that were just not good enough . J This story is taken from dailyinspirations dated June 12th.
This story just wants to make you jump out of your seat and do everything that you have always wanted or have been trying to do ..;)) ...
Breeze Among Flowers
I seldom think about my limitations, and they never make me sad. Perhaps there is just a touch of yearning at times, but it is vague, like a breeze among flowers."
~ Helen Keller
Never mind your limitations. ..
Focus on what you have and what you can do.
"The problem is, the problem is... well, the problem is that there is no problem!" said the Earthworm in Ronald Dahl's delightful book James and the Giant Peach.
There are no problems!
Each day is a chance to make dreams come true
and a celebration of your value and your accomplishments.
Big and little successes. All yours.
As motivational expert Josh S. Hinds observed,
"I believe a little bit of success lies in everyone! Will you be the one to deny that? Or rather be the one who chooses to be guided by it? I hope you choose as I to do the latter!"
Take the time to recognize and congratulate yourself for……
What you plan to do, what you tried to do, what you can do.
Look at how much you do, each and every day.
Reward yourself. Appreciate yourself.
Honor your worth.
You deserve the best, so soar and shine!
Eleanor Roosevelt once said,
"Before we can make friends with anyone else, we must first make friends with ourselves. "Be a friend to yourself and validate your spirit.
Think of something special you can do for yourself today and do it!
