My New Baby

On a late Sunday night, the phone rang – who would be calling at this hour you wonder – alas it was my mother calling from my grandmother’s house and I remember the conversation rather well and it goes something like this …

Mom:- (giggles) … I have a surprise for you …

Me: (surprise) you do ?? what is it ??

Mom:- why don’t you guess what it is ..

Me: (getting excited) I don’t know .. what is it what is it ..

Mom: well I got you a little cake mixer slightly smaller than the one at home ..

Me: really??? YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! This way we can make cakes half the time and I try new recipes ..in small batches

Mom: Yes, now you can make one kek sinkep in this small machine …

And that was how my new baby was born on a Sunday night in August ..

She went on to tell me where she got my little baby , where she was from and all that. I think she was as excited as I was lol .. she was telling what color it was, the size and all that heehee.. she is so cute that way sometimes and I guess the best part is that she bought it for me because I am more into the cake business – I think she is starting to have a little more faith in me – slowly but surely..

Anyways, my little baby is not at home now – still in Johore , my mom wants to take her on a test run when she comes here again in a few more days she will bring my little baby home I am so excited.

Why the excitement? Well this is my first ever cake mixer – one I can call my own. The one at home is moms.. what can I say I am just sentimental when it comes to certain things.

My mom and I was talking when she was here we were saying how we could use the little one to make frostings, small cakes and what not. I was so happy – when she left I hugged her and said thanks and she smiled and said yeah yeah yeah heehe.. I think you have to be here to know the moment – my mom and I have a unique relationship, we have a weird way of showing our affection hehee ..

Now its about naming my first ever mixer …. What shall I name my baby? Hmmmm...
