Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 1st marks the beginning of the month long Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2007. This event is celebrated by women from all over the world.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer. As well as providing a platform for breast cancer charities to raise awareness of their work and of the disease, BCAM is also a prime opportunity to remind women to be breast aware for earlier detection.

The pink ribbon is a symbol of breast cancer awareness and its been adopted by women all over the world in support for the cause.

So this October show your support by wearing a pink ribbon, wearing pink, overhauling your website to pink and finding out more about breast cancer and how you can help. :)
