wrapping up saturday night ...

Today was a really nice day weather wise. It wasn’t hot hot like it was a few days ago its more relaxed cool calming windy just a very nice bright day. Haven’t had days like these in a while I think this is cause of the double full moon lol its double trouble for me too I think hahaha .. anyways it’s a nearly midnight on a s Saturday night and I think today was an over all good and I would have to say the best thing about today was email from ‘that some kind of wonderful’ well I haven’t seen him in the past few days so news is always good .. And it was. I have to admit it was an ok day it had its moments but getting the email from him,just brought up the grade for my day and it always does. I think everyone has those days when you receive a letter an email from a special person that even when things seem to have ran amok that little gesture brightens up your day so to that ‘A+’ emailer thank you – you know who you are ..

I had a simple meal of nasi kicap telor which is actually rice(nasi), dark soy souce (kicap) and eggs(telor). One of my favorite dishes when I am lazy too cook or have no idea what to cook. I grew up on this and ask anyone about this dish they know how to make it even the kids. This dish will definitely be passed down to the younger generation. Another variation of this is using butter but I like it with vegetable oil and remember no salt for this – the dark soy sauce gives it its taste. This is great eaten with cucumbers or keropok ikan (fish crackers). I wrote something about ‘nasi kicap telor’ in one of my previous blogs sometime in December 06 I think … anyways that was din din.

Saturday is usually a boring day – nothing much on television and Singapore being as small as there are not many places to go maybe except to the malls or the movies. There is always Johore which is about 45mins away but then it is the weekend and of course the traffic jams so no thanks for that. Anyways I receieved a discount voucher for Borders again yay! 35 percent off a full priced book. Call me cheap but I love discounts who doesn’t. Lets face facts – books are not cheap but we still love to buy and read them so once in a while when there is a discount have to seize the moment. The vouchers valid till the 17th of May so I have ample time to decide on what books to get. Any ideas anyone? I made a book list of books I wanted earlier this year but it seems I haven’t really followed it .. its probably bad but when youre at a bookstore you just get lost and see books that you want which are not on your list.) Please take note that this doesn’t apply when it comes to love and life partners) at least for me it doesn’t hehee…

Since I side tracked yet again which is very uncommon when I blog , I spend a few hours with some girlfriends by the beach. It’s a gorgeous night out and even though the moon is hidden behind the clouds you just know that its there and the sound of the waves beating against the shore the white foam, the smell of the sea air and sand on your feet on a very cool night with the wind blowing ever so softly it takes you to takes you to a state of euphoria. If I could capture this moment and share with people who can appreciate it I would because as little it may seem its things like this that puts you back in your place and fills your heart with unexplainable joy … It has been a while since I have been to the beach but tonight seemed like the perfect night for it ..
