Cooking how to - fill & fold samosas
How to fold and fill a samosa. I personally havent mastered the art of filling samosas though i am learning. Much of the samosa filling is done by mom who like always makes everything seems to easy. Anyways for those who like me are struggling to do this, i found this how to do online and thought i would share it hoping that we all get a gist of how its done.
We used the frozen spring roll skin to make this. First cut the pastry into four equal strips. Cover with a damp tea towel to prevent the pastry from drying out.
To start the process, pull of two sheets of the rectangular shaped pastry. Egg or flour the edge.
We always use the flour paste instead at home not really sure why though.
1. Turn the folded edge & spread the egg or flour paste.
2.Next fold it over again till you get a small triangular sack.
3. Fill in the filling and use the remainder piece to cover and seal it with the egg or flour paste.
Sounds easy enough but still struggling for me at least ;)). But pratice makes perfect and seeing its a family favorite worth the effort.

To the amateurs my self included keep trying were getting there!

This folding method works but be careful to follow it exactly (I used a piece of paper to practice. Many Many Thanks Island Girl and Cheers Rowena in Portugal
