Hikmah

I simply love this Indonesian song. This is one those songs that touches your soul. I get goose bumps listening to it – the words, the melody seem to sink in so deep, it touches the soul so deeply. This is one of those songs you listen to when you’re in a dark place and looking for answers to all the on goings in your life , why things happen they way they do, moments when you really the downside of life. The message the song brings and the salutations before in gives you a sense of peace serenity and it does for a moment in time bring tears to your eyes because in your own way you are communicating with God praising him then personally asking Him why and only to come up with the realization that there is always something positive for how things turn out – a blessing if you could call it.

The song Hikmah is from the OST of the drama series of the same name. It’s sung by Netta Kd Danii. Hikmah is a very well known television series from Indonesia and it’s appreciated by a lot of people within the region. If I am not wrong its into its 3^rd season.

Anyways at 9pm every Monday night the theme song of that show will come on – I never really listened to it until recently and realized just how strong of an impact it had on me. So I searched and found the song and the lyrics. The song is basically about glorifying God, wondering why life is the way it is, its like a conversation between a lady and God and her wonderings lead her to confide in God and knowing that there is sometimes no one else we can turn to in times of despair but Him and for all the tests that He gives us there is always something good behind it hence hikmah. Hikmah is a silver lining, which things happen for a positive reason. I included the song lyrics for those who understand Malay or Bahasa Indonesia and I am attempting to translate it for my non native speaking friends ;)) with a little help from my cousins will post it when I get it done and bear with me I am not the best of translators ..
