Recipe - Mint & Coconut Chutney

Mint Chutney is just one of many Indian dishes that has been very welcome into out kitchen. We usually have this with dhall rice & dalcha another family favorite. I never knew that they ate samosas with mint chutney until I went to an restaurant that served north Indian cuisine about ten years ago I was hooked ever since and every time we have samosas I make sure I have mint chutney.

Mint chutney is basically a dipping sauce or a side dish. Its even great on its own. You can make this and actually freeze it for about 3 months but like always nothing beats a fresh bowl of mint chutney. The method is fast and you can get done in a few minutes.

Mint is beautiful fragrant herb that is used to infuse food and drinks all over the world it is also used for decoration. It gives this sweet smelling scent that is quiet intoxicating. Over here when in the mood, we like to make sweet mint tea using black team sugar and mint. I think it’s a common pratice for the people in the Middle East to have this tea in small little cups all year through.
